#1 of All Baby Shower Cakes -- The Stork Cake
To make the stork cake, you’re going to need the following ingredients:
3 boxes of cake mix
2 4x6 inch bread pans
1 6-inch round cake pan
1 9-inch round cake pan
1 large “wiggle” eye
Baking the Baby Shower Cakes
Baby shower cakes are great and this one may be a little complicated, but it’s well worth the effort. To start, mix the cakes according to the cake mix directions and pour batter into each of the cake pans. Bake according to the directions and then let the baby shower cakes cool completely.
Baby Shower Cakes Assembly
Take one of the bread pan baby shower cakes and cut it in half lengthwise to make two long legs for the stork. Then cut the other bread pan cake diagonally. Then take the 9-inch round cake and put it in the center of your platter (you will want to use a large cutting board or a very large serving platter for this).
Take one of the diagonal baby shower cakes that were cut from the bread pan cake and place the widest end directly against the round cake to form the neck. Now cut the tip of the other end off and place the 6-inch round cake against it to form the head. Then, place the leg baby shower cakes at the bottom of the body. Then, place the widest part of the second diagonal baby shower piece flush against the head to form the beak. Now all of your baby shower cakes have created a stork!
Use frosting to fill in the details your baby shower cake is ready to go! Your guests are sure to love baby shower cakes, and this baby shower cake is sure to be the best they’ve ever had.
