The Miracle of the Baby Shower Registry

How a baby shower registry can make your life easier.

Having a baby shower? If you don’t yet know, it’s about time you realized just how much easier a baby shower registry can make your life. From making sure you get what you want to making sure your guests don’t have a nervous breakdown trying to figure out what you need, a baby shower registry is a win-win situation for all.

If you’ve never done a baby shower registry before, the process can be overwhelming. Don’t worry, I’m Patti the Perfect Party Planner and I’m here to tell you how the registry works and will give you some tips as to what you should include in your baby shower registry list.

Signing Up For A Baby Shower Registry

The first thing you want to do is decide which store you would like to be registered with. I always like Babies R Us as they carry all of the baby supplies a parent could ever want.

Once you decide which store to register with, you’ll want to go to the customer service department and let them know that you would like to register with their baby shower registry.

Adding Items to Your Registry

The customer service desk will either have you sign up with pen and paper or will have you sign up at a computer. Then they will most likely give you a little scanner to walk around the store with so you can add things to your gift registry. When you want to add an item to your baby shower registry, simply scan the item and it will be added to your list.

What to Add

Don’t let the process of the baby shower registry overwhelm you to the point that you forget the important things on the list. Make sure that you add all of the items you would like as a gift. Just act as if you were shopping and scan all of the things you need to buy. From bottles to a changing table, scan the items you want.

Letting Guests Know Where You’re Registered

Once you’re registered and you have your baby shower gift registry completed, you’ll want to let guests know where you’re registered. Preferably, you’ll want to register for a baby shower registry before invitations go out. That way you can make note of where you’re registered on the baby shower invitations.

Don’t worry about it seeming greedy when registering for a baby shower registry. A baby shower registry makes shopping for your gifts much easier on the guests and it is common practice.
