I’m Patti the Perfect Party Planner and I absolutely love baby shower cookies. Nothing is as adorable as chocolate chip or sugar cookies in the shape of booties and bottles. If you’re thinking of making baby shower cookies for a baby shower, try some of these baby shower cookies out.

Recipe for Baby Shower Cookies #1 -- Fabulous Oatmeal Cookies

These baby shower cookies don’t just taste great, they’re good for you too! To make these baby shower cookies you’ll need:

1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

To start these baby shower cookies, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease your cookie sheets then cream together the shortening and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy. Then add the eggs one egg at a time. Then stir in the vanilla and sour milk.

Next, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and stir them into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the rolled oats. Drop the mixture onto the greased baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes and you’re ready to go!

Recipe for Baby Shower Cookies #2 -- Amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 ½ ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sour cream
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

To start these baby shower cookies, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Then melt the unsweetened chocolate and the butter together in a double boiler. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together and set aside.

Now beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla together until light. Mix in the melted chocolate mixture and blend well. Now stir in the sifted ingredients and the sour cream. Then add in the chocolate chips. Drop batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow baby shower cookies to cool for five minutes and then place onto a platter so they’re ready to serve.
